Fall 2023 Impacts

This fall we maintained regular repair events, developed new partnerships, and piloted many new activities. All this is building a solid ground for sustainable growth of our efforts and impacts. Thank you to everyone who believes in us and contributed their time, skills, and connections. More to go!

This fall we had:

  • 26 repair events, including five corporate repair events with Starbucks, a team-building event with Hearsay, an event with the Women in Climate group, and two weeks of daily activities with a cohort of high schoolers from Summit Sierra Public School!

  • We donated 62 items and many more items are ready for deliveries in December.

We developed a solid relationship with Congolese Integration Network and provided furniture for their shelter, office, and to their families. In total this fall we helped them with 29 items, including a sofa, ottoman, lounge chair, bookshelf, three beds and mattresses, six small tables, two stools, two dressers, and nine chairs.

This fall we partnered with St. Stephen Housing, a non-profit that provide housing and support services to families who were unhoused so that they can transform their own lives and move toward economic stability. We helped them with a few good items for their housing.

We worked with a Sacred Heart Shelter graduate, Tyrah and her daughter Donae, who have successfully achieved their goals of sustainable housing after staying at the shelter. We are very proud of Tyrah's achievement and are excited about this move for their family. We helped Tyrah with 17 items, including a bed, sofa, ottoman, armchairs, dresser, bookshelf, TV stand, nightstands, side tables, and lamps.

A family of eight learned about us through the Salvation Army. They lived at Jackson Park but had to move due to their housing being remodeled. We helped the family with nine chairs, a solid table, and a spacious dresser.
